Obviously an electrical short.could be motor or defrost element.
You will need an engineer with a meter (meggar) to isolate/identify the component responsible,August 26, 2012 at 9:27 pm #380169steve-mport

if it only runs for an hour then it may not be running long enough to turn off on it’s own.
main causes of a fridge like this tripping the electric are defrost heater and compressor.
with the information we have so far, it could be either.
you could unplug the heater to see if it tripped after an hour. if it still trips then it’s likely to be the compressor.
a compressor change is a specialised repair and you will need an engineer.August 30, 2012 at 8:14 pm #380172steve-mport

It’s obviously in defrost mode then now.
Keep it on and it should fire up after about 20 mins. Alternatively you could advance the defrost timer to run mode.
If its not tripping the electrics and you’ve taken the heater out of the circuit, then it looks like you’ve answered your own question there.September 8, 2012 at 11:10 pm #380176steve-mport

The fridge works directly from the freezer. If the fridge isn’t working then you have another problem.
Is the evaporator fan running in the freezer?
Tricky to say over the net, how long has the fridge been running since you changed the disc in the relay?September 9, 2012 at 6:13 pm #380179steve-mport
