Hello, I’m trying to sort out my Mother’s Dishwasher – Diplomat ADP 8242.
It’s a problem that only occurred a few days ago…
When you press the power button, the first button (soak / rinse) starts flashing and it beeps twice. Pressing the programme button has no effect.
I managed to reset / clear the electronic panel (by powering up and rapidly pressing the programme button 4 times etc. – found the instructions on another website!) and managed to get the dishwasher to start a rinse mode, but had to keep the door shut manually as it wouldn’t keep closed on it’s own. (Checked for leaks but, luckily, there weren’t any…(!)
Now the soak / rinse mode has finished, and we’re back to the first problem –

Would be most grateful if you have any advice before I have to call out an engineer on Monday.
