    Hi,

    back so soon 😆

    Problem:
Noticed a funny smell at the end of a cycle and the dishes weren’t clean
so resetarted with the same load in.
Rinse went as per usual and then started the wash cycle.
A few minutes into the wash I opened the door to have a look
I found the water level just below the heating element and since I’d stopped the water from pouring onto it it was very hot (red in parts) and hissing as water splashed on it.

I’m not sure whether that level is correct or not – there doesn’t appear to be much more room in the tray before it would be coming up to the rubbers so maybe the level is ok and the heating element does not get covered?

Perhaps the probelm is the thermostat ?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated thanks

Below the heater is a typical water level. Water showering down from the rotors is supposed to take the heat off the element. No circulation = red hot heater………

Cancel programme, set to the soak programme (cold water only), wait for filling to stop and open the door. Hopefully, you should see plenty of water from the rotors. Have a towel handy – you’ll probably get wet 😀 .
