We are about to Steam the Christmas Puddings. Would there be any problems using more than one element straddled by a large diameter steamer?. With MFI down the drain I don’t want to break our stove.
Thanks and am sorry I can’t promise any helpings.

I can’t see it doing any harm if it’s a conventional hob, but a glass one may be a different story.

I would have thought the output from a single ring should be adequate to cook a few puds!you could always pour kettles of boiling water in first and check the single ring can maintain it boiling….remember, all you are doing is replacing heat-loss…so a good lid and draught -free kitchen should help.

The ADP4230 is a double oven.

Assuming this it the hob, what’s the model number of that so I can advise?
