Hello hope someone can advise on ADP460 oven. Top oven fine bottom oven cuts out at 200c sometimes. Timer off, oven off, Light off, only cooling fan running. Thinking safety overheat stat. Has anyone had problems with just the overheat stat on these or could we be looking at clock aswell. Thanks

Have you checked the temperature with a thermometer? If the knob says 200 degrees the cavity temperature may be way different causing the overheat stat to trip out. I would look at that first. Could be a faulty thermostat.

Thanks for that Steve I never checked the temperature as it seemed to cycle off and on at lower temperatures and I’ve nearly always found stat problems all or nothing
I will pop a temp gauge in when I return.
Have you had a similar problem on one of these. Many thanks.

    Re: ADP460

Had a Ignis oven at a cookery school with the same type of fault. The thermostat reading (220 on the knob) was around 60+ degrees different so when it got to 220 the oven would shut off. It started out within 10 degrees of target (knob set to 100 degrees) and ramped up dramatically until at around 220 it cut out. The fact that the stat cycles on and off is no indication of its accuracy. If the cabinet cooling fan is running continuously and the safety stat has gone O/C then that smacks of overheating.
