ADP8322 OWI = optical water indicator

What is one and where is it situated ?
can you clean it ,test it ,or just replace it.
fault is 11 flashes

It’s situated at about the 3 o’clock position in the sump…it’s not really an optical device at all, it’s a rubber diaphragm with a microswitch behind it, protected by a black plastic grid which you see in the sump.

Quite common for them to get bunged up, usually you can clean them with hot water and a toothbrush, I usually use a piece of tubing to suck and blow water through the grid to give it a final flush.

If it’s particularly gunged then the whole assembly will bayonet out from underneath for better access 😉
