Advice built in or Free Standing Fridge Freezer

Can anyone give advice re -replacing our old built-in De Detriech fridge freezer which is about on its last legs. I’ve found some good reviews on free-standing fridge freezers but cant find many on the best integrated. I’m loooking for a 50-50 model with auto freezer defrost. The one we have at the moment is 64cm wide (including cabinet door). I dont know whether to look for another integrated or get one of those American style ones but they all seem to be too wide for our kitchen. Any ideas appreciated.

Integrated fridge freezers are all the same width 55cm and height of 177cm. 50 50 split fridge freezers is probably the biggest sector in integrated but frost free is limited to only a few suppliers ie Hotpoint, Hoover, Gorenje, AEG and Bosch. Which is why they are very few reviews also bear in mind integrated in general is a much smaller market than freestanding.

As for American refrigeration you will need a 90cm wide space, it will also be much deeper than your worktop depth.

Your info has narrowed it down a bit for me. I think I’ll look for Gorenje Aeg or Bosch as unsure of how reliable Hoover and Hotpoint would be. Thanks very much
