Hello, I own a candy CDB 126 washer dryer which had worked fine until we moved. Upon installing after the move I over tightened the cold feed valve, this twisted the whole mechanisim and one of the solenoids contacted the frame of the machine….I can see a small black mark where it shorted. I put it on a wash and it seemed fine however it stopped full of water and flashed up error code 3 (drain pump fault I believe. I emptied the machine, manually drained the water (mostly all over the floor) and tried again. Now she won’t fill with water and still chucks out fault code 3. I was wondering if the solenoid has blown would it take the drain pump out also or could it indicate pcb or other issues. I am tempted to replace valve and drain pump but worried this may not solve the issue. Any advice greatly appreciated & thanks in advance.

The Electronics on these are almost as bad as Indesit group stuff.

E03 fault code is sometimes a misnomer. It USUALLY related to a fault of not emptying with sufficient time, 2 mins I think.

Now that could be a blocked or duff pump, blocked hose or pressure chamber somewhere or indeed a corrupted Coreboard (PCB). Once an E03 comes up it won’t fill again until you have cleared the problem.

Given what you have described my money would be on a corrupted Coreboard rather than pump.

Check all the drain hoses and the household waste pipe to make sure they are clear.

If you have a multimeter AND know how to safely use it, you can test the pump for continually ONCE the appliance is safely disconnected from the mains.

If they check out ok then you have a fubared Coreboard I am afraid.

Hi Jackal thanks for your swift & detailed response. I have had pump off and open and spins as it should and was not blocked. I performed continuity test reading was (156). I have also removed and cleaned all hoses none appeared blocked. I have also tested cold feed valve and it normally reads between 1000-2000 but did throw out a reading of 800-900 a few times.
