ParticipantNew to the site and would welcome a bit of help please.
In my new kitchen, I only have an aperature of 60cm to fit a washing machine in and i’m scared to put a 59.5cm machine as once it starts spinning, it’ll destroy half the kitchen. Ive looked on the websites and most machines are at the standard 60cm but I have seen two which look OK – Zanuzzi ZWC1300 and the Servis M9530.
Can anyone recommend any others between 50-55cm wide that would fit?
Must say the lack of choice I find staggering. I would have thought loads of people with space issues need smaller, compact machines – the manufacturers are missing a trick here.
Any help would be most grateful.
Thanks

600mm x 850mm is the ISO standard sized hole……. Depth is the only consideration to be worried about.
Please don’t but the Servis.

You can but it all you like, just don’t buy it whatever you do. 😉

Of course, being a Moderator, you could simply have amended the spelling……
If you buy the Servis, you will end up butting it – the electronics do have comedic value to us repairers.

ccshellHi
Just be aware that the Zanussi is a compact washing machine with only a 3kg load which measures 670mm high, 495 wide and 515 deep. Bosch cabinets amongst others are 595 wide so it should not be a problem 😉 .

If your cabinets are properly fastened to the worktop, either side of the opening, you’ll have an EXTREMELY rigid “box”for the machine……if it jumps around enough to damage the units, the machine’s installation or user-operation is seriously suspect.
