Seeing as I may have killed my Hotpoint (see other thread) The missus wants to buy a Miele possibly a 520 or similar. I am unhappy as they only have a 5kg drum. That’s small really for a family of 6. I fancy the 8kg Hoover HNF7138 in Currys for £279. Lots of toys on it too. I know it’s no where near as good a Miele, but it’s bigger.
seeing as I don’t seem to be able to post a note of the Miele board, perhaps someone could convince me that the 5kg drum is not that bad???

Miele is the top of the tree for relability and performance, nothing else comes close, 20 yr design life based on average use , hoover about 4 – 5 yrs if ure lucky, yes it may not have the load capacity but long term you will see your money back ! Bosch is a good compromise but no where near the miele.
I wont buy anything else than miele !
