I have a typical modern s/s rectangular chimney hood expelling through the wall, and it looks ok but is hopeless! It is very noisy, and not very effective so it tends not to get used. The only identification on this unit is internal and says Nova 6 with ratings on the extractor fan body 3A 150W which sounds feeble to me.
I fancy replacing it with a Luxair LA-90-CV-GL. Question is am I being seduced by its curved glass hood etc or will it be quiet and powerful? Or should I be looking elsewhere? Luxair carefully avoid mentioning the motor rating but state extraction rates of 550 CBM/H. Is this good?
Any observations/advice would be appreciated
