Advice on new washing machine

Hi,

Ours has died and we need a new freestanding machine.

We’re a family of four (two under 5) so a reasonable amount of washing. Although Miele is a scary price, every experience I’ve had with them has been so good, I’m seriously considering dropping 1K on this. After all, 10 years of a guarantee shows some confidence on their part!

So …
W5740 is obviously a candidate. But I’m discouraged by:
1 the look of the machine – it doesn’t look particularly modern.
2 the door – ideally I’d like a left hinge.

Other priorities would be:
energy/water efficiency

Any suggestions anyone? Really appreciate the help. Need to order in the next 48 hours!

I will freely admit to being desperately biased but, even with that aside, it is a storming good washing machine.

EDIT: Now I have and yet again, in the course of this research, one uncovers so many interesting conversations with people wrestling with the same questions…

OK. So this looks like a winner – if it really is as good as it says. Any links to independent reviews?

EDIT2: So I might be sold. Even though this will end up costing £60 more than my original choice of a W5740. Guess it’s installed, though.

How long would delivery be? Inappropriate to ask here but I can’t see anything obvious and the machine is very new.

Delivery depends on where you are and when you order.

It is better then the Miele. 😉
