We’re redoing the kitchen over the summer and are getting a built-under double oven, 5-ring hob & 70cm extractor.

So far we’re thinking we’ll get:
    Oven – Kenwood CKBU300 – £399 from Currys/Dixons
    Hob – Brandt TE270X5 – £215 from local supplier
    Hood – CDA CPX7 – £165 from local supplier

I’m pretty sure the hob & hood are good, but looking on here the Kenwood ovens get a fair amount of stick – doors not lining up, bad support etc. It also worries me I can’t find the product descriptions on the Kenwood website (nor the Delonghi one who I believe make them for Kenwood).

The local supplier has offered us an ex-display Hotpoint EG47X for £445, which is about £200 less than what it is new, but is in perfect condition.

I’m just looking for some advice on what to do – are there other ovens I should be considering for in the £400-£500 bracket? I’ve not really heard of CDA or Brandt before… Are the hob & hood as good as I’m assuming they are?

The local supplier has offered us this deal until the end of July, but we’re off on holiday tonight so we need to make a decision today – any feedback ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Oh, that’s a Hotpoint UE47X by the way, don’t know where the EG came from, sorry.

[Yes I know this is from a different username, there was some confusion in registering]
