I would appreciate pointers on which would be the best choice. We have a hole in the wall for the vent. I’m quite taken by the idea of the White Knight gas models, although I’m not so sure the wife is….also we’d need to have a gas supply installed to it.
What are the electric WK’s like for reliability etc?

Is there a better electric make/model to look at – or one’s to avoid?

This is for a family of 4.

    Thank you.

White Knight are pretty good. The problem with gas tumble dryers is that most people (including gas engineers) are not qualified to work on the gas parts of the machine. Gas Safe (formerly CORGI) engineers have to get qualifications in each type of appliance i.e. boilers, cookers, fires etc. There are so few gas dryers around that hardly any of them do the exams etc.
Avoid Hotpoint, Creda, Indesit and Ariston. Zanussi make good dryers.
