aeg 1271 sensotronic fault

ive got a problem with this integrated aeg 1271 sensotronic it has the number 1 in the display no letters just the number 1.
after mucking about for a while in emptied and spun then when i put it on to wash it fills up then the number 1 appears immediately.
anybody give me a clue before i rip it out.

ive cheacked it wasnt on a delay start or anything obvious.

If you always quote the Enr or Pnr it makes it a lot easier for us to try and help.

I have a similar fault on one of these:

PNC 914676001/00

Apparently does rinse cycle and spin cycle ok. But on any wash cycle it brings up 1 in the display virtually straight away after starting.

My first thoughts are valve related.

I don’t seem to have a diagnostics for this machine on my TDS disc.

There’s some info on mediator for 1261sensot. but it may be different (not same PNC). It has a hybrid timer VA20/30 and a test cycle with step 1 being fill and not much else. Wondering if yours is stuck in a test cycle waiting for you to do something?
