Our trusty AEG has just developed an issue that has me stumped-hopefully you guys can help. The door suddenly stopped locking, so wouldn’t start any program. It would occasionally show code E40, but not consistently. I instantly thought this would be caused by the interlock, so bought a replacement. When I went to fit the replacement i noticed some burn marks on the interlock connector. I replaced the interlock anyway, but as suspected this didn’t fix the issue.

Could this be the end for our poor old Lavamat?

    Cheers

Did you not sort out the burnt connector block then?

Hi Martin. I did clean up all the connections but am still trying to source a replacement block or loom. My main concern was that the connection looked burnt out and whether that was a symptom of bigger issues.

No bigger issues just a poor contact that can be sorted with a new connector. Give me the full product number (PNC) of your appliance and I can look up the part number of the new lead if you like.

Many thanks for your help, Martin. I finished fitting the loom last night, fired it up and it’s all sorted.

    Cheers
