Hi guys, just a quick question (i hope!): We have an AEG double oven that suddenly stopped working the other day. It is completely “dead”, and i checked the fuses & plug etc, all good. Any ideas what this could be, and what part could be bought?? I looked at perhaps the Cooling Fan Control first, but now unsure.. Many thanks!! Rgds, B.

Could you give us the full Pnc number of the appliance from the rating plate?

Hi there, thanks for looking. The PCN number is: 944171152 (product number), with serial number: 33700085 just in case. Rgds, B

This is a full size oven that would normally be hard wired into a 45amp cooker outlet and normally isolated by a MCB/RCD at the consumer unit. Can you elaborate on what you refer to as “fuses & plug?”

Hi Martin, thanks for looking at this! I checked the fuse inside the plug yesterday again, and when i changed it for another the electricity came back on the ovens. However, it immediately blew again once i turned on some heating on the oven again..Perhaps the new plug was wrong type, but perhaps there is some underlying common problem causing them to blow as well? again thanks,

But according to that model number you gave it’s a big double oven. It should not be wired into a 13amp plug for goodness sake!

Get an electrician in to sort the supply ASAP. As martins said no way on earth should this be wired to a 13a plug
