AEG 2494 ARCTIS BEEPING

Hello can anyone assist with a problem with our AEG ARCTIS 2494 upright freezer. If the door is left open until the alarm starts (can never find what you are looking for) the machine posts a “lower case 0” on the display and beeps softly (similar to a smoke alarm with a low battery). Pressing any button has no effect, however switching the freezer off clears the problem until the next time.
Any guidance would be welcome.

Product or PNC number of appliance would be a great help.
Have you had a look at the user manual?

You are likely getting either a warning that the door is open or that temperature has risen inside appliance. Info on how to cancel beeping should be in user manual.

Thanks for your input, have tried the manual and as usual they are about as much use as chocolate tea pot when trying to diagnose a problem.
When the machine goes into the fault state the reset button does nothing and can only clear by turning off at the mains for 10 secs and then turn on again. The door is closed fully and temp is at an indicated -18 as soon as machine is turned back on. The model is a 2494
