AEG 3 zone induction hob. PNC 949 592 773 00.
E6 displayed very intermittently – I personally can’t get it to fail. Customer reports all the zones work and boil the water in the pan, regulate and switch off as normal most days. When the fault occurs, the left side and centre zones are the first to flash E6 then shut down; the right one will display a ‘ — ‘ thereafter the controls have no effect at all. When the hob is switched off and left for a couple of hours it all starts up again and works fine for days and sometimes weeks.
Doing some searching brings up E6 as a breakdown in communication or fault with the module….. there are two control boards and two power boards on this thing. The result of the Google-ing – as usual – is obviously for a different model series as they show a filter board separate; this one is different as it has two boards each side and the controls pad up front.
So I have a dilemma…… control boards or power boards? Both priced at a king’s ransom of course, but the new hob like for like is £890!!
Any help or tech on this is very welcome!
Thanks in advance,
Steve.
