AEG 40740 sensor logic not heating water

Hi Guys
trying to find out if i can fix this for my mum or if its an engineer thats needed

i fixed my own zanussi that was doing the same by soldering a component on the master circuit board and its been good as new for over a year

any help would be really appreciated

Given that AEG is just a Lux group brand these days and shares a very similar pcb to your Zanussi (another Lux group brand) d/w, a similar failure is a good bet.

If not, the heater itself may have failed – a resistance test with a multimeter would be required to be certain.

Stay safe – power off at all times.
