    w/m not going into full spin it just keeps building up speed then dropping off when i first went to it the brushes were very short so i replaced them and all seemed ok but just got a call back saying it is doing the same again, im assuming its a fault with the motor but as with aeg it will be expensive to replace im going back tomorrow is there anything else i should be looking at?

    Sounds like a cooked armature to me…..

    cheers penguin i was thinking along them lines is armature available for aeg or is it a complete motor?

    I wonder how Hilly got on with this one? I’m with Cab on this, and reckon the air bell is gunged up. 😉
