hi i have been given this old machine but the spin is very low i think 800. is there a way of upgrading it to spin faster 1000 spin would be nice.can it be done please advise

Well. you could buy the module and motor from the 6200, but you’ll get no change from £300………..

ouch thanks.what machine would you recommend in 250 budget? been looking at dyson on ebay but don’t know if there any good.
would like to look in classified ads here but i cant get in, why is that?

The Classifieds are in the Trade section of the site – I assure you that there isn’t a single domestic appliance for sale in there 😀 .

eBay – you’re always taking a chance on what you get. If budget is a problem, you might be best seeing if you have a reputable local firm that does reconditioned appliances.

As for new, with a budget of £250, there’s little out there to offer long product life. Bump it up to £300 and you’re heading towards the base model Bosch machines and our own ISE2 machine. It’s simple, robust and has a 2 year guarantee. Check on http://www.iseappliances.co.uk for yhour local agent.

thanks how does warranty work on your ise machine do you have to pay up front for it ??

The local agents are putting them out for about £280 – the warranty is included in the price.

Just out of interest, did you replace the AEG 6100 and if so is it now spare (I’m in need on a new motor) please?
