ParticipantAEG Oko Lavamat 72630 Update Washing Machine
Machine takes in water to the normal level but doesn’t go any further through the cycle. My initial thinking was that it couldn’t be faulty water level detection else it would either not fill at all or not stop filling.
The machine does not display any error code, just shows the number of minutes it expects to remain in the cycle.
Tried it on cold program to determine whether it is waiting for the water to reach a certain temperature, but that shows the same symptom. So am back to thinking it is something connected with the water level detection. How does that work?
Not sure if it is relevent but when you run the Pump Out program to get the water out it successfully empties the machine but the program never completes, just sits with 1 minute to go on the display.
Any words of wisdom would be welcomed b/c I’ve also had my tumble dryer fail this week so I have my hands full.
Cheers

Thanks for your time. No it doesn’t and there is no noise to indicate it is trying to run.
I tried putting it onto a spin program. It makes a noise (motor or pump?) but the drum is not turning then either.

Hi.
I would suspect the motor brushes may be worn out.

Thanks for the advice……interesting that it doesn’t come up with an error. I guess it doesn’t monitor drum rotation.

Hi.
There will be a fault code in the memory of E52 usually in the case of worn brushes but this is not usually a code displayed to the user.
