AEG 72630 Pnc 91400209600

    customer tells me a fault code E40 showing, clicking noise and can’t engage interlock, I realise it could be a lock fault, but can anyone let me know if this is more likely than pcb, as I have to order parts, and dont want to change pcb because of cost.

    u could check the connectors on the board first.. tighten em all up and then test.. just means 2 trips if that dont cure it.
    Ive had this happen to me on occasions… ordered lock only to find same fault once fitted.. tightened all board connectors and BINGO!! job done… not had any call backs from them either for same fault occuring.

    Just remembered I have the 4 tag org zanussi interlock will this work on this machine ?? cheers John.

    If you mean the old 4 tag type, no I am pretty sure it will not work and might even damage something trying. Not worth the risk. Get at least two new ones at a good discount from Masterpart. You will use them up pretty soon!

    Incidentally, make sure to change the lock before even attempting to test the machine. As we all know, a faulty lock can damage the PCB!
