Called today, Turn on selector switch Interlock engages but machine completly dead. I am presuming PCB faulty, anyone else had same fault.
as can’t return part if wrong!
when it went wrong she had just started to use a magnetic device in the wash called a “Magnoball” it does come with a warning of a stong magnetic force. dont feel it could interfer with the electronics, but just a thought in case anyone else has come accross this.
    Cheers John

    Hi John
This may seem silly, but have you checked the carbons ?
This is a common fault on the Ariston/ Indesit/ Hotpoint machines.
I have also had it on a Whirlpool, but cant remember if I have had any Electrolux Group machines suffer with this
    Regards
    Toni
