AEG 72640 washer

    turn the selector switch you get an occacional flick in the display or lights but nothing else have metered the main contacts on the selector and checked the ribbon cables customer says that sometimes after half hour the display will show the machine can be started and will then complete a wash ok.
    anyone any ideas?

    Oxidised connections on the user interface (control panel) PCB causes this fault. Remove the control panel, unplug the blue cables from the PCB. Clean the edge connector tracks both sides of the PCB. With pliers, gently pinch the plug to tighten the terminals. Refit the control panel and all should be well. 😉 It’s a common problem with the EWM2000 PCB sets.

    I did crimp the edge connectors but I didnt take the boad off I’ll have another look
