I visited this lovely washer this morning, a fine specimen if I may say! Looks brand new and so well looked after with the exception of mouldy door seal. It’s ten years old! A rarity these days.

    The product number is 911939001

Basically it needs a new door seal, the one with the hole on the top to connect the pipe to, and a drain pump filter. I have managed to locate a new door seal after a lot of digging and probing.

I know on the parts list that the drain pump need replacing as a whole but the only thing was wrong with it was worn seal and in my opinion a new filter screw is needed rather than a whole pump unit. Seems a lot of hassle to replace the entire unit just to get a new filter! Any suggestions?

Product number you quote refers to a dishwasher, after 10 years it deserves to be treated to a new pump. Theres an “O” ring listed for pump, 4006016697 but hazard a quess this is pump seal rather than filter seal.

I think the pump and filter housing has changed a few times over the years, if the filter seal is still intact but out of shape try dropping it in to a mug of boiling water and it should return to its original shape, failing that you will have to change the pump and filter housing complete.

Replaced drain pump unit. Bit of a faff as it’s easier change the pump by removing front panel rather from the rear. Also this machine had a split hose from dispenser to tub. Wouldn’t have picked it up if it wasn’t for the heavy limescale deposits blocking the drain hose as I had to make a third visit to rectify it.

Glad to have resolved it in the end.
