ParticipantMy AEG 76820 runs part cycle before stopping with 5 beeps (repeating) and Error E50 code. The drum does rotate and the machine runs on a 40degree cycle (empty) without issue.
Any ideas as to what’s going on or how to do further diagnosis?
tks

When running on the 40-60 cycle. I’ve just run a drain then spin (with part washed clothes) and it works not problem, although it also stopped part way through the refresh cycle. Very puzzling…it does seem to be fuller of water than normal when stopping.

Obvious question but worth asking……have you checked the pump or filter for blockages? Also check the motor for possible worn out carbon brushes.

with the wash load in start a wash and check that the drum will rotate in each direction alternately

Yes, the drum rotates in both directions. It also drains (when on drain cycle) and I’ve checked the filter (bottom right)

I have had a repair man visit.
Bushes ok. Pump replaced. Machine will work on drain and spin cyclces but has the same problem when conneted to waste. Will run without problem when draining into a bucket (excpet for mehaving to swap numerous buckets of water of course). I have flushed the waste (high pressure hose) and no blockage and sink on same u tube drains in les sthan 1 minute.
Get same error code when connected to waste. What’s going on!!! 😥

There coud be an earth fault on motor, carbons not making good contact, armature dirty perhaps, loose cable connection on loom somewhere.
