AEG Arctis Freezer F8 error code

Can anyone tell me the meaning of an F8 error code on an AEG Arctis 3192-4GA upright freezer please?

I expect that its the same error code on all the 3192 and 3193 series models. Does anyone have a service manual for any of these around?

The error is accompanied by a rise in temp to -16 celcius, and an audible warning which may be cancelled by the user. Use of the boost button restores -18 celcius for a couple of days.

This “frost free” model require manual de-frosting once a year to clear the vanes, this is due again about now and may well restore normal operation for another year. However I would like to know what the error code means.

“Heizsystem defect”. From the German literally “Heating sytem defect”. I’m not much cop on fridges, so can’t really tell you more!

Check the defrost drain heater – it’s a big stick-on sheet sits in the plastic housing under the evaporator.

And power off, of course!
