    Hi

This bulb blew on our oven recently. The bulb actually expoloded inside the holder and tripped the mains. I had to remove and open up the oven to extract the holder and bulb.

The replacement bulb does not work (tried several). I have tested the continuity between the bulb holder terminals (fine) and cleaned everything.

On further checking there is no power reaching the bulb holder. Everything else continues to work fine. I have taken off all the exterior panels and checked everything. The only other thing that appears dubious is some scorching around the upper central terminals at the rear of the oven.

Any ideas, or will my wife never see her cakes rise again? 😥

Almost certain to have blown the switching triac on the main power board. New power board required I would think. 🙁

Thanks Martin. At £150 for a replacement it looks like cakes in the dark from here on in. 😉
