OK, the wife and I were very excited to get a new ‘decent’ oven for our house. My parents have two of these and swear by them.
Anyway, we bought the last one (the demo) at our local store. They took two weeks to deliver it- apparently so that they could get it out of demo mode.
It’s installed, powered up successfully, setup the language etc. Went to turn it on for the first time and the fan/elements don’t run. The clock symbol on the display is still showing, which after a quick google apparently means that it is still in demo mode.
Dealer has been out with the faxed instructions from AEG to get out of demo mode.
We have followed the following instructions to the letter and have got nowhere:
First plug in and then press meat probe/clock button until 2 beep tones confirm. Release button.
Then press simultaneously within 2 secs the meat probe and minus buttons. Two beeps will confirm.The photo on the instructions shows the language menu on the display. Despite this not being in the instructions, this is the only way that we have got step 1 to actually happen.
Very Frustrated, the dealer is about to get both barrels despite them being reasonably helpful.
Can anyone shed any light on this please? Its worth a lamb roast!
