ParticipantCan anyone help with this ?
AEG washer model Lavamat 680 E. Nr 605631053.
I need the bearing seal for the spider, it is not shown on the diagrams or parts list, tried TDS and the Procorner web site, both only show the complete bearing spider.
The seal is size 45 78 12 double lip type, the rear part which fits the spider is slightly larger than the 6207zz bearing behind it.
Thanks in advance
Dave.

ParticipantAEG BEARINGS
I had the same problem last year, But in the end it had to be a compleat spider. I tried to talk the custome out of it, but he insisted and bought the part himself. Cost about £75
At least i got to fit it

That was my next port of call Bryan, the annoying thing is I know this seal is available as I’ve ordered them in the past.
While we’re on that, has anyone else ever tried to source bearings directly from specialist bearing suppliers, no matter how hard they try, there’s no way they can match the price we in the trade pay by buying the the kits, either pattern or genuine. 😕

Thanks ‘goosegreen’
They want about £80 now trade price, the only trouble is, we’re not even fitting it, just trying to supply the bearing kit 😥
And as the machine’s about 15 years old, I don’t think he’ll go for it TBH.
I’ll try bearing services as Bryan suggested, or better still send the customer there himself.

ParticipantIs this AEG made for the British market, or a foreigner. In keeping with most AEG, seals are not listed, try looking for motor brushes.
I 😉 f this is for a “counter sale”, then the spider is the answer and you will make a better rprofit. Otherwise the customer is likely to make a pigs ear of the bearing when hammering it in and expect a free one in 9 months time. We usually ask if he’s hot a fly press to install the bearing, the look on their faces says a lot.

Probably a foreigner as it’s not on the TDS disk, only on procorner, I’ve told him the situation, and waiting for an answer. Which I doubt I’ll get, he will probably got to Comet and buy a new machine, with not a word of thanks for my efforts. 🙁
