Bought AEG Multifunction U7101-4M double oven 5 mths ago. Only installed after 4 1/2 mths due to delays in new fitted kitchen. Clock was faulty and was replaced. Then found that actual cooking temperatures were 30-40C lower in both ovens than that set on dial. Shop replaced oven without quibble. However, same problem with replacement not reaching temperature eg had to cook pie at 240C on fan in main oven instead of 200C as per recipe. Hopeless trying to cook pizzas at 230C – can’t get high enough.
Have seen another similar story on internet. Is it worth trying to get oven repaired – is it solvable or a design fault? Don’t really want to have to move to another make as sizes vary and will involve adapting new kitchen. But I’m a keen cook and need cooker where temperature can be set reliably – AEG oven in last house was great. If I change make, are there any other under counter models which offer fan or conventional cooking in both ovens, plus grill in both ovens?

Both thermostats will be out of tolerence, and should be replaced. When this is done make sure the engineer does a centre oven temperature test before leaving. This will ensure that it is doing what you expect.
