AEG Competence B1180-1

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have an AEG Competence B1180 – 1 built in oven;
Type: 91 AHB 01GA
Serial No: 32705269

This evening I had the oven on and heard a crackling? noise and when I turned around the inside of the oven was on fire. Waited until it had all cooled down and removed oven from slot. I removed the rear cover and where the silver foil? and insulation is it is all scorched including some of the wires.

It it worth getting someone to have a look at it or does it sound as though its time to get a new oven!!

Far more likely that the fan oven element has met its maker in firey fashion…..

Power off, remove inner rear panel to inspect. Replacement one is HERE.

Scorching up the back is usually congealed grease which has escaped.

As usual you guys are spot on…….. followed your instructions and there was the element burnt out!!
