AEG Competence B11880-1. Fan turns off but oven doesn’t.

When I turn my oven off using the controls, the fans turns off as it should but the oven continues to run at whatever heat I had it set to. The only way I can turn it off is by switching it off at the electric socket, which luckily for me, I can easily access.

Can someone help with a part name/type/ number that we can get to solve this problem please?

Presumably, some sort of thermostat failure. However, your model number doesn’t seem to register on any of my tech info. Perhaps you could check for the “Pnc” number around the door framing? Number normally starting with 9.

Sorry, typing error! should be model number B1180-1

The pnc number is p944-181-727.

The oven thermostat is p/no 3301712-00/0 – cost is about £23 plus the usual. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly.

Horndev, if you paid £45 for one of these, you were robbed………
