This cooker seems to be fine, but when turned up high to roast a joint it turns off after 10-15 minutes, and then comes on again after another 10-15 minutes (when it’s cooled down, I guess). I’m assuming this is a thermostat fault, but I don’t know how many stats there are, and which one might be at fault. Any ideas, please?

And how easy is it for a competent person to fix?

Is this turns off as in the display goes dead etc. or turns off as in the heat lamp going out and coming back on later?

Everything stays on apart from the heat, which goes off for a while, and then comes back on.

I think the best bet may be to get yourself an oven thermometer – the elements do cycle – the oven runs up to temperature, heat goes off, temperature slowly drops, thermostat clicks over, heat back on; ad infinitum.

    Does that make sense?

Yup, that describes it exactly. How easy is it to fit an oven thermo in one of these?
