AEG Competence D4101-4 oven

Hi, I have an AEG Competence D4101-4 double oven and the main oven fan does not operate. The main element and light work normally because the oven heats up to temperature when used as a conventional oven. The top oven also works normally as do the cooling fans. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Three possibilities.

1/ Fan motor failed – mechanically jammed or electrical failure.
2/ It’s live switched from the oven thermostat. This may not be happening.
3/ It’s neutrally switched from the selector switch. This may not be happening.

There are no less than 20 versions of this oven – pNc number will be required if you need more specific information.

Stay safe if wielding the multi-meter – power off first.

Hi, I found the cause of the problem to be a faulty selector switch, which I’ve replaced and the fan is now working fine.
