This is a 3 year old built-in double oven, no problems until now. The main oven and the time display are completely dead – just went off quietly while my daughter was cooking her lunch (she was not pleased). The top oven still works. We have had 3 visits from an engineer, who has tried changing all 3 circuit boards associated with the main oven, with no success. When he unplugs the display board for the top oven from the other circuit board and plugs the main oven’s display board in instead, we get the clock but nothing else (so presumably the display board is OK) but he has not tried swapping the two control boards over to see if the oven will work then.
Is this a known scenario? The engineers do not seem to have any info from AEG to assist in faultfinding – they seem to try-this-then-try-something-else-until-I-run-out-of-ideas-again until something works. Any advice would be much appreciated.
