I am new to this forum but it appears that I have a similar annoying problem as many others. This is an intermittent problem which occurs after the oven has been on for about 20mins and then it switches off including the timer. I notice from previous posts that this is normally solved by replacing the Oven Cooling Fan Control (8996619267611 – AEG & Electrolux)but this part seems to be for a different model to mine. From this description of the fault do you think it is Oven Cooling Fan Control and if so what is the part for the D8100-1 oven?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have the PNC number off the rating plate and we can check it for you?

I assume this is the PNC taken from the identification plate on the main oven door frame :- 944171215.

Can someone help me on this one as the wife is so fed up with the oven cutting out that she is threatening to go and buy a new one. This is not good for me as it is either a new set of golf clubs for me or a new cooker for her and I know where I stand. 🙁

No, it’s not the usual ZN Limiter one that you found in that particular oven by the looks.

From what I can see it uses these two:

However that oven looks as if it’s a tad more complex than most so, if you’re not sure, I’d suggest that you might be better to get someone to look at it for you.

    Or, sacrifice your golf clubs.

    Hi kwatt & QUICK FIX,
Many thanks for your responses. I have now taken the oven out of it’s casing and removed the back and top panels. The condition of all parts is very good with no signs of burning or overheating.
QUICK FIX – There is no thermostat linked into the timer.

On the top between the cooling fan and the two printed circuit boards are three Thermal Cut-Outs which look very similar to picture attached to 3117523054 link. These I presume are reacting to the surface temperature of the fan ducting. There are two marked 1646 110degC and the other 1642 45degC. There is a third Thermal Cut-Out on the back panel of the main oven which is marked 1643 180degC which I assume is 3115190054. My intention would be to replace the three cut-outs on the top and hence do you know the part No’s. I assume one is 3117523054. I would not replace the 180degC one on the back at this stage as I am sure it was replaced by a so called service engineer about three years ago when we first had the problem. Do you agree with this strategy or am I missing something?
Many thanks for your help. I feel the golf clubs are getting closer!!

some of theses stats will not be resetable what i mean if they go open circuit they stay like that.there could be a board faulty but again just guessing very hard to tell

Re: AEG Competence D8100-1 main oven cuts out

    Hi All,
Just to update you on my original post. I have now replaced the two 110degC and one 45degC thermal sensors on the top of the oven and one 180degC oven cut out on the back. So far the oven has not cut out. I hope this comment is not the kiss of death for my hopes of success.
