AEG competence oven

Been out to a B4140 AEG competence oven that is dead, there is power to it display is on, stat light and selector are on but the element and fan don’t come on. (element and fan are ok) Any ideas please? Was thinking clock but its a strange fault and I’m not really sure it is that. Cheers Kez

There is a klixon cut out on the top of this oven under the lid. Looking from the front, the one on the left side mounted on the cooling fan duct is the safety cut out and the one on the right fitted to the top of the oven body is the fan starter stat. Probably cabinet cooling fan issues caused the safety stat to trip….:wink:

That “blue condom” is fitted to the later Electrolux manufactured units – B4140 is good old, proper AEG stuff; no spaghetti in sight. 😉
