ParticipantCan anyone supply me with the configuration code for an AEG 74640 Update washing machine pnc 914 002 407 00. I know the code is supposed to be on the module box but it aint. I may have inadvertantly changed it when I was in the diagnostics program. I say “may”, because it’s the only reason I can think of for the machine counting down to zero from the program time on pressing start. It will enter the diagnostics ok, will pass all the component tests, but after exiting and trying to select a program, the time for that progrram is displayed but upon pressing start, the display will count down to eventually zero, then the door will unlock and the “end” led illuminate. And all this for a bl**dy E21 – pump blockage!

Thanks for the replies guys. Unfortunately that looks like the code that is already in there so it does not explain the fault as outlined above. Has anybody got any ideas?

Thought I’d update you on this one as it may come in handy for the future.
I came across a Service Bulletin on the TDS disc (no 599 51 23 25 EN), the title being: Front loader (EWM1500, EWM2000) LAVAMAT 6…and…machines Inadvertently activated Demo-Mode
Apparently this is activated by selecting PREWASH and SOAK buttons while at the same time switching on the machine through the DELICATE SPIN position (operating the buttons for more than 4 seconds)
So that is what I’d done! 😳 😳 😳
The deactivation is carried out exactly as the selection (see above).
Due to the deafening silence on this one, I take it that is not well known. 😉
Regards,
Dave
