Went to an AEG Dishwasher, model F50750 PNC 91123268901.
It completes the pgms, no error codes, but not heating either on the wash or the dry part of the cycles.

Fills OK to correct levels, washes and pumps out fine, finishes the pgm. But no heat. (not stripped it down to check anything physically yet).

One would think the pgm would hang up as it waited forever to reach correct temp.

Any (polite) suggestions? Thermistor telling lies??

    Thanks

Not sure about that model but all the Zanussi clones have a very common module fault with burnt out relay contacts that cause no heat.

    Jim.

EDIT, Just checked and it is a Zanussi, could be heater but I would put money on the PCB.

Zanussi dishwashers will happily go through a cycle with no heat and not flag up a fault code. Probable cause, as Jim says, PCB – or more likely, a blown solder joint on the heater relay contact. Solder it up and most will work fine. Once the board is out of the plastic box the blown joint will be plain to see. Definitely worth a try. 😉
Assuming you would check the heater first, then replacement PCB.

    HTH,

    Steve.

If you do open up the module casing, you will like as not see a burn mark on the inside of the plastic casing.

It is worth noting that there have been recorded instances of this casing and the facia panel setting on fire after a solder repair to the relay legs.

Possibly a safer solution would be to replace the heater relay or the complete PCB if you want complete peace of mind. 😉

Yes, twas indeed the heater relay connection on the PCB all burned and open circuit. Did my usual: scrape everything shiny-clean, wrap and solder a tiny bit of 15-amp fuse wire arounf the relay post, and solder the other end of the wire to the PCB track, no chance thereby of the fault happening again (one hopes!).

Done loads of these on the older Bosch DWs, same fault, except it hangs up the program endlessly on those.

    Thanks Jim and Steve.
What would we do without W/Goods?
