    Hi,

I posted the following last week in the Trade Spares forum:

“In order to get this part quickly for a customer due to me being absent from tomorrow and the customer having a dinner party at the weekend, I went through Conections enquiry.

Looking at the motor kit they have sent it seems to indicate that it is only for a machine with a heater inside the cabinet. (heater element 111099991). Is this correct.

My machine has a heater mounted adjacent to the motor and is the tube type where water flows through it. Could you give me the correct part number for this motor if it is different.”

Penguine45 confirmed it as the correct motor.

I now find that the machine sticks at the first rinse and final rinse. It will fill up ok at begining, wash and heat ok. This morning I went to it and whichever prog I put it on it operated as if it where full of water but was empty. I carefully pulled off the hose from the pressure switch (no reset click was heard) and blew up the tube, all felt clear. I replaced the pressure switch with the original (new one came with motor kit) and when I started the machine it began to work ok.

I stayed with the machine until it heated, emptied and moved onto the first rinse fill. This it did ok. I reset the machine to start and told customer I will return in a couple of hours. I returned to find machine had gone through to end ok.

Told customer to try another wash at tea time, just rang me to say stopped again 😥 .

The inital complaint was the machine stuck in prog and a horrible burning smell. Discovered the motor burning out and unable to push water through the spray arms so also thought this might be cause of sticking as water temp could not impinge on the stats in door. Now I am wondering if this may have caused the motor to become defective as they had let it run on for quite a period of time when it stuck subsequent to my visit.

Any hints would be appreciated…this typifies a lousy week of unclear (to me) problems that all seem to come together at once. Do you sometimes get these? 😯

    Thanks

    Laurence

1115321109 is the heater (tubular) and 1110990734 is the motor from the info I have 😕

    Dave.
