AEG D5701-4-M Fan element permanently on

This oven is owned by a rather annoying woman who jumps on every word you say and has her own theories on the repair 😈 (She is an optician receptionist though).
Complaint of the oven element staying on even when controls turned off. Didn’t have much time for a proper check up as most of my time was spent repeating everything I said to her and talking over her latest theory. I’m thinking its the power board as the stat is just a temp selector. Anyone else had this fault with these.
Just as an aside she has a faulty cooker switch which won’t go off and I left her trying to convince me that the switch was stuck because the screws in the face plate were a little loose :rolls:

Hmmmm. Looked at Connect and they are showing the board as obsolete 😥 . Might see if QER can take a butchers if she can do without her Pizzas for a week.

since this element is controlled by a module my first check would be the control relay on the power board ? short circuit
