AEG D8800-4-M Double Oven

Paid a quick visit this morning.

This oven has a digital panel to control both ovens. You basically dial in the temp that you need and it does the rest.

Customer reports that the main fan oven element occasionally remains energised after cooking is complete and the oven is switched off at the controls. Element glows bright red as fan is off. The only way to turn it off is via the spur switch on cooker circuit.

The oven also over heats when cooking if element gets ‘stuck’ on continuously.

The oven in question doesnt have a normal stat obviously. Instead there is a bulky looking probe at the rear of the oven.

I’m guessing that this is a control box problem.

Hi mate have you checked the elements for earth fault have had elements down to earth and picjking up a neutral and just carry on heating check all three in the main oven just a thought
