Hi im hoping someone can help me on this one as i have not wasted money on a new expensive control board that was not needed for a while now.
This dishwasher was dead. If you turned it on and tried to select a programme some of the lights would light up as you pressed them but would then go out as soon as you released the button.I looked inside the pc board and the small programme selector board that is part of the main board was all corroded and had obviously had ingress of water.
So i ordered a new (configured) board part no. 973911235209005 which took nearly 3 weeks to arrive as it was out of stock. When i fitted the board it was even more dead than the old board in that no programme lights lit up at all, nothing. Even the old board made a slight humming sound when you turned on the power but the new board is completly silent.
Now, if i had made a mistake and it was not the board at fault then surely the new board should act in the same way as the old board?
Is it the correct board for this machine?
Is the new board faulty? (unlikely but possible. The box it came in was completly sealed.
Your thoughts please guys.
ThanksSubs

Have you checked connections on A1 & A2 are not reversed as I managed to do that last month and had the same fault – No damaged done to the board just dead, Just looked at two wiring diagrams for this model and both show different configerations on these connections ?

Hi Colin thanks for the reply.
I’m not sure what you mean about the connections “A1 and A2. This board has connections marked A1 which is the main power supply then 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f and 1g. I did notice that connection A1 had the location slots the other way around to the origional board so the plug had to be plugged in the other way around too. The board is slightly longer than the origional too. Thanks

The mains plug that you are talking about is on the neutral side of the switch and is connection A1 & A2. on one of the drawings it shows the connection to A2 coming from the on/off switch & A1 neutral feed via the relay on the board to heater and on the other drawing in shows the connections the other way round. If the connection plug is in the wrong way round you will get the neutral feed to the board going to the open contact on the heat relay so no feed to board, if you need diagram let me know.
I also did the same as you and as the machine was dead I then had to cut the lugs on the plug and fit the other way round
If you take the cover off of the board you should be able to see the contacts The bottom track is the power in and the one above is to the heater out
