Any ideas why the spray pressure should be reduced on this machine?
The water level is correct. There is barely enough pressure to turn the spray arms. I have taken the circ pump out to check for blockages but everything is clear. The motor is free and appears be running correctly.
I am not sure of the function of the tacho-generator on the back of the motor. Anybody able to clarify this please.
I have quoted for a new motor and the customer is happy, however I need to be sure of the diagnosis.

“Pulse circulation” – the tacho allows the computer to run the circ motor at speeds of between 1,500 and 2,800 rpm as programme requires.

How can it do that with a two pole induction motor? There is no inverter to change the frequency. Does it bring in a balast resistor?

Use the pnc code – there is a comprehensive service manual in the listings below.

KeymasterIt happen at Zanussi (Aeg) dishwasher that pumps impellor to lose pallets (damaged wings, little), so lose power…
Check also filters from bottom and seal from back coupling of upper spray…

That was my first thoughts but this is the [proper] AEG machine with the motor at the back right hand side. The impellor and pump housing is fine. I’m a bit stumped as the motor appears to be free and sounded as if it was going at the right speed. It pulses at two speeds so I am assuming that the electronics are ok. Running with the door open, at low speed the water barely dribbles out of the lower spray arm and when it pulses at high speed it has better flow but no-where near the correct rate.
Unfortunatly it is a built-in machine in a small kitchen and I have no way of water testing it with the side panel off.

I’ve read again instructions (explanations) about the way is controlled this machine and his concept. So I understood that switch level became inside of fill or wash phase like sump pressure sensor. So during wash phases he can determine fill sequence. So gives feedback about pressure inside all hidraulic circuit.
Did he finish dynamic fill (also supplementary fill)? did start to heat?
not the least he gives error?
Can be motor itself (conder 4uF also), PCB, clogged filter&IWMS.February 25, 2007 at 12:05 pm #205421Penguin45

Hmm – underfilling always a good bet. Good thinking, Baron 😀 .

Thanks boys. I think I will go and have another look before ordering a motor.
My TDS disk died so I could not look up the info in the house. Now I have the new disk I will go and check for error codes etc.
The water level seemed to be ok. I did not check to see if it started to heat as there was obviously a water pressure problem.
The capacitor is a possible…

Completed this call yesterday. Couldn’t find anything wrong with the water level control.
Replaced the motor and all is well. Bloody horrible job though!
