This D/W was not “using up any salt” so the customer researched the fault on line and ordered a regeneration valve which she got her handyman to replace. It is now “using up all the salt in a couple of washes” and covering glasses in a white residule. When i checked the old valve that she still had, it was open circuit. When i checked the new one that had been fitted it seemed ok, although the little rubber plug that fits on the end of the plunger thing seemed dislodged, so i fitted back correctly thinking that could be the problem.
What i did notice though, which does not seem right, is that after putting it on a short 30 min wash, the regeneration valve was permenantly energised throughout the wash. Is this correct?
Anyone had a problem like this?
    Thanks
