ParticipantHi,
I hope you can help me out. I have a dishwasher (AEG FAVORIT 85480 VI) which is just over a year old (just my luck!) and I’ve always used the eco 50 programme. well, this programme doesn’t work anymore, it stops and a faulty message “,10” pops up (the one that says the water is not supplied), but strangely all the other programmes work just fine.
We do not use the dishwasher too much and I can’t understand what’s wrong. Obviously the custumer care is no help (there is no technical support, so you basically talk to a secretary or something who knows less than me) they just want to send you an engineer over and the call out is 70 euro!
Any suggestion?
thanks a lot!

Error Code 10 is indeed a ‘Fill Time-out’ error. Check the water supply to the machine in case it is interrupted, partially blocked with debris in inlet valve filter etc. 😉

Martin thanks for the reply, but the thing is that every other programme works just fine! I assumed that if there was a real problem with the water supply it would have been a general thing.
Last night I tried again to use the eco 50, btu the problem has not gone away: the programme starts and stops after 10 minutes with the same error code popping up… restet, used the standard programme and it worked perfectly. a real mistery!

Francy,
The tech info we have access to doesn’t include the “stepping chart” for each individual programme. I can only suggest that the selected programme may require extra water to be added. The computer will measure the time taken for the water level switch to be tripped, then add more water against the time used to achieve a higher level. If the water level control system is partially choked, this could lead to an overfill situation and consquently the programme aborts.Conjecture, but reasonable……….

ParticipantThis is a Zanussi in a skirt, yes? If so, only one fill level that I’m aware of. Static fill to switch followed by dynamic top-up to switch with the washpump running. There’s a timeout on each.
If it’s happening at 10 mins into the prog that’d be the main wash fill after having successfully carried out the prewash.
In this case, I’m just wondering whether this e50 program is cold prewash whereas the other progs are hot, and one of the pressureswitches is iffy at a certain temp, a sticky n/r valve in the sump perhaps, or some crud has got into the pressure system.
Two thoughts then. Run your e50 and open the door after five minutes. Is the water hot or cold?
And try running a dishwasher cleaner through it.May 26, 2007 at 12:23 pm #214199francy74

ParticipantRe: AEG dishwasher: software problem?
I realize francy74’s problem happened a long time ago, but:
I have a F88060IMOP dishwasher, and it started acting up about 10 months after I bought it.
I usually use the ECO program, and after about 4-5 washes, the program stops. No error codes, the display shows a delay (6h, 4h, 2h, and now only 1h), and all the program leds are on. This happened at various stages and times in the program.
I haven’t noticed this problem with any other programs.I’ve sent it for repair twice now, they changed the pump, but that obviously didn’t help.
Could this really be a software problem?
Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks, Bori -
