AEG dishwasher suddenly coating everything with white.

Why might my AEG Favorit 60870 Sensorlogic SUDDENLY have started coating all my glassware and the darker mugs with a white powdery coating, which will not easily wash off?

I haven’t changed the powder, rinse-aid or salt, and both rinse-aid and salt are full. Nor have I altered any settings.

The dw is about 5 years old and has performed faultlessly since new…..until now 🙁

We live in a fairly hard water area, and I’ve just had to handwash 18 glasses with Mr Muscle limescale destroyer. I hate washing up! 😥

The inside of the dw is also coated.
Help!
